Today is the day that I step into fresh opportunities of living in the moment with passion, focus and joy.

Today is the day that I will be free from another artificial limitation, and help free others from theirs.

Today is the day that I see in fresh ways that the horizon of opportunity is 360 degrees, and make a new move towards it.

Today is that day.

The Most Resourceful Person On The Planet.

All he ever needed were two things:

1. A situation that found him in over his head.

2. A Swiss Army knife.

Sometimes you are the person who is in over her head. Some unexpected situation – a difficulty/opportunity.

The great thing about a difficulty/opportunity is that you get to determine which it is by deciding how you are going to handle the “/.”

Once you decide, you begin to notice the resources that are around you. More importantly, you begin to recognize the resources that are inside you.

Sometimes, that is the flashing moment when you have a fresh infusion of hope. Hope is always an opportunity. Hope is always a strengthener – strength to sustain you, strength to guide you, strength to steady you and help you realize, that in a fresh way, it is not over and you are not done.

Hope is the Swiss Army knife itself, and every one of the parts that fold out from it.

Hope doesn’t only enable you to make your next move. Hope is your next move.

It is not over, and you are not done.

Hope isn’t a wish, or a coin flip, or some impersonal, fleeting, random part of your imagination.

Hope is real.

Hope is a promise.

Hope is revealed purpose.

It is not over, and you are not done.

I don’t think MacGyver was about the time that was running out. I believe MacGyver was about the time that was still left. Time left to alter the outcome. Time left to make a difference.

Time left to recognize a fresh infusion of hope – and its promise and purpose.

Right now, either by a little or a lot, you are in over your head.

Right now, you are facing a difficulty/opportunity.

Right now, how you choose to handle the “/” is still your choice, no matter how far things have gotten.

Right now, there is a fresh infusion of hope for you because there is an as-yet-unfulfilled purpose to be lived out through you.

We need you.

As you embrace your fresh infusion of hope you help the rest of us believe that there is a fresh infusion of hope for us, too.

As you look at time as time you have left instead of time that has already been lost, you help the rest of us make use of the time we have, too.

You are somebody’s MacGyver. And you are most definitely your own.

It is not over, and you are not done.
